Are You Ready for College?

Did you know that it’s possible to graduate from high school and still not be ready for college in the fall? In Oklahoma, high school seniors are required to graduate with credits that have prepared them for education beyond high school, which is wonderful, but it’s best to start planning and preparing for college early—especially through middle school and high school.

Visit UCanGo2.org to find free downloads of the ever-popular college planning checklists. Recently, checklists for grades K-5 were added, making a complete group of checklists for grades K-13. Each list contains helpful activities to check off throughout the school year, ensuring that you won’t miss important information that will make your transition to college as seamless as possible. • Remember that your Oklahoma’s Promise application is due by June 30, 2022. You won’t be able to apply in your senior year. See OKPromise.org for the application and more details.
